“Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.” – 1 Corinthians 6:18-20
Based on the verse stated above, committing sexual acts with a person who hasn’t receive the sacrament of matrimony is a sin. There is a correct term for this wrongdoing, which is fornication. This wrongful sexual act is defined as concordant sexual intercourse between two individuals that are not yet married. Fornication is typically mistaken for adultery. In order to cease the confusion, the former refers to unmarried people committing sex while the latter refers to either or both the married couple engaging in sexual acts with people outside the marriage.
Fornication in the Bible
The Holy Scripture firmly prohibits fornication, mainly in the Old Testament. The term deciphered for the wrongdoing of fornication is what also idolatry means based on what is found in Hebrew. Based on what’s written in 1 Corinthians 5:1, unlawful sexual activities — such as prostitution, illicit contact, or lascivious conduct, are deemed to be fornication. However, this forbidden sexual activity is commonly entwined and, sometimes, differentiated in the Holy Scripture.
Committing illicit sexual affairs without receiving the sacrament of marriage is completely fornication. Thus, premarital sex and other forms of sexual conduct that are outside the realm of marriage are sins. Society, in this day and age, somehow loosens its grip on this particular sin. Many people have engaged in this act; but, little did they know that it is still a dangerous sin to manifest if you look it in the biblical side. Based on what is written in the Bible, no contemporary events and situations can modify, alter, lessen, and invalidate His disapprobation towards fornication.

Christian literature is an important facet of the literary realm, and the Bible is one of the most significant parts of it. Moreover, there are many Christian books that tackle fornication and other factors that revolve around sexual immorality.
