The setting is inspired by Ancient Rome called the Martial Empire. Moreover, it focuses on the story of Laia, a girl that serves as a spy for the rebels that are at odds with the current empire in return for their support in saving her captive brother named Elias. Thus, the story is narrated alternately by the two, Laia and Elias.
